The Nineteenth Century Studies Association is pleased to announce the Emerging Scholars Award. The work of emerging scholars represents the promise and long-term future of interdisciplinary scholarship in nineteenth century studies. In recognition of the excellent publications of this constituency of emerging scholars, this annual award is given for an outstanding article or essay published while the author is within their doctoral studies or within six years following conferral of their doctorate.
The winner will receive a cash award of $500 to be presented at the 2027 NCSA conference in Philadelphia.
