The Summer School "Ferrara. Il Mito dei Mesi" returns for its second edition as an initiative of the research laboratory OSA – Officina Storie dell’Arte, based in the Department of Humanities at the University of Ferrara. The Summer School offers an opportunity to explore the themes and methods of art history in Ferrara through the representation of the Months, an authentic cultural myth from the classical world to the contemporary age.
The programme unfolds over three days, combining seminars and guided visits to sites and monuments of particular importance, some of which are not always easily accessible. The activities will involve lecturers, researchers, scholars, museum professionals and conservation specialists.
The Summer School is open to twenty students enrolled in PhD programmes, postgraduate schools and Master’s degree courses in the fields of art history and cultural heritage. Participation is free of charge; travel, meals and accommodation expenses are to be covered by the participants.
Please note: all seminars will be held in Italian.
