Predoctoral- und Postdoctoral-Stipendien 2023/24

The Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History in Rome is offering Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships for the academic year 2023/24 with the department of Prof. Dr. Tristan Weddigen. Under the general theme of Art of the Modern Age in a Global Context, the department welcomes projects in — but not limited to — one of its core research areas: Rome Contemporary, Materiality and Mediality, Italy in a Global Context, Transnational History of Art History, and Digital Visual Studies.

Candidates are at an early career stage and should propose a funding period of three to twelve months. Successful candidates will be expected to be part of a group of junior scholars related to one of the five topics and participate in the institute’s activities.
