The Art Gallery of Ontario is seeking applications for its Thomson Fellow of European Art. The Fellowship runs for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The Thomson Curatorial Fellowship in European Art is designed to provide mentorship and on-the-job practical training to equip the Fellow with skills necessary to enter the job market for a career in museums. The Fellow will develop an exhibition around the theme of maritime materials in art making, 1200-1600. These materials include but are not limited to coral, mother of pearl, sharks’ teeth, and amber.
The successful candidate will receive a CAD $50,000.00 stipend annually. This is subject to income tax.
